Which regions are worth seeing
Palawan: El Nido & Coron
One of the most beautiful places in the world. No exaggeration. Limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons, turquoise water. El Nido is boat trips through lagoons, Coron is shipwrecks and crater lakes.
Siargao
Surf, peace, growing food scene. Siargao is an island that has not yet lost its character. Cloud 9 is one of the best waves in Asia, but even without surfing - the palms, Sugba Lagoon, and the pace that forces you to slow down are enough.
Cebu & Moalboal
Diving with whale sharks and sardines. Moalboal is one of the best places in the world to snorkel with sardines. Oslob - controversial but popular - whale sharks. Cebu City is a good base.
Bohol
Chocolate Hills and the smallest primates in the world. Chocolate Hills are one of the strangest geological phenomena in the region. The tarsier - the smallest primate in the world - lives here in its natural habitat.
